Marie Tested to the limits.
And beyond.

Can one ever test too much?

We think not.

Testing is the cornerstone of any product’s reliability, and we take nothing more seriously. We put our child car seats through the most rigorous testing procedures to ensure they exceed the most stringent requirements.

Crashed, smashed and bashed -

All in the name of safety!

Marie is certified under the most comprehensive regulation for children’s car seats in the world, the UN-ECE R129/03. During the development, we have performed tests that are far beyond the requirements of the certification body. We use these products with our own children, so we made sure we went the extra mile to make our Marie, safe-safe.

  • 100+
    crashes

Marie underwent 100+ crashes in all installation positions – front, rear and side impacts alike. In addition to the R129 regulation tests, we perform high-speed tests with 74 km/h front and higher impact side crashes at around 50kph.

  • 40% above
    average

These crashes simulate the most common accidents in our streets and our results are 40% better, on average than the requirements from the regulation.

  • 80.000
    repetitions

We test each part of Marie, like the buckles and harness system more than 80,000 times, to ensure the durability of critical components.

  • Chemicals?
    No, thanks.

The materials and fabrics we use are tested by independent labs for 89 different harmful chemicals (Naphthalenes, Formaldehydes, heavy metals, flame retardants, plasticizers, and many more) –  None were found. Zero. Nada. This is stricter than the standards of the toy industry!

The result?

A car seat that outperforms in every scenario!

Marie has already won the third award for Swandoo, the iF Product Design award. Rest assured that you’ll see Marie in the next european consumer tests in 2021.

Meet Marie

Why are we testing Marie like this?

Our first child seat, Albert, is proof of our commitment to quality. It excelled as a double test winner in the european consumer testing done by ADAC, ÖAMTC, Stiftung Warentest, and TCS and 3rd in the overall historical records. Never had a new company in the past reached such an achievement.

Just like with Albert, we have tested Marie way beyond industry requirements, reaching the highest possible quality and safety performance. Only then are we confident that our products are ready to protect our own children, as well as others around the world.
